The Human Resources Manager position is a leadership role within a large manufacturing facility with multi-site responsibility for the overall management of the HR functions. The HR Manager will support business needs and ensure proper implementation of company strategy and objectives; maintain and enhance the organization's human resources policies, programs, and practices.


The goal of the HR Manager is to promote Dart's corporate values and enable business success through job design, recruitment, performance management, training and development, employment cycle changes, talent management, and facilities management services.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Supervise HR staff in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, benefit administration, coordination of employee training and organizational development.

  • Support and communicate management practices and provides training and coaching to the management team regarding human resource related practices.

  • Oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems.

  • Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. 

  • Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them.

  • Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.

  • Provide guidance to the Plant Manager regarding human resources matters. Supervise and perform a variety of administrative activities to include compiling and filing of associated reports such as EEO logs and other human resources related questions and reports as necessary.

  • Develop leadership by identifying training needs and securing appropriate training resources.


Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal HR Manager candidate must possess the following:

  • Requires one of the following:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field and six (6) years of progressive Human Resources experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent with ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience  

  • Five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Solid experience in metrics and a general knowledge of principles/practices of HR Management

  • Strong communication, organizational, managerial and analytical skills

  • Ability to recognize problem/issues and develop effective solutions. Requires independent judgment/decision making within areas of responsibility                                                            

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically

  • Valid driver's license


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing industry experience

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
