job summary:

Director of Accounting- $115,000 to $135,000 + BONUS

Excellent opportunity for a growing, mid-sized manufacturer in the suburbs of Lancaster County. Our client is commutable from most of Lancaster County as well as parts of Berks & Chester Counties.

The Director of Accounting is a highly visible position and will report to the company's long-time Chief Financial Officer. This position will manage a team of eight professionals and is responsible for--

  • Preparation of Financial Statements

  • Manage General Ledger Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Manage AP, AR and Fixed Assets

  • Assure Compliance with GAAP and IFRS

  • Coordinate / Manage month end & year end closing activities

Our client seeks a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with a minimum of 12 years of experience working in a mid to large sized organization. Management experience is required. Strong analytical skills and systems skills are required. CPA, CMA and / or MBA is strongly preferred but not required. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred by not required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
