Refrigeration Service Technician

Job Purpose
The basic function of the refrigeration service technician/food service technician is to provide excellent service to our customer base in a professional, cost effective manner and provide support to other employees as requested or as necessary.
Expectations of Employee
Accountable for equipment repair and maintenance function, customer service function, documentation and reporting function, and truck inventory function.
Maintain and advance knowledge of subject equipment operation.
Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis of the mechanical and electrical problems sent to work on.
Demonstrates good judgment and reasoning when investigating and solving problems.
Consistently completes work on time.
Seeks guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities from sources inside and outside the company, especially in areas where expertise is limited.
Respects the confidentiality of company, customer, and personnel information.
Works productively, efficiently, and cooperatively with the co-workers, supervisor, and all in the company in positions of authority.
Establishes and maintains a personal style that promotes a positive attitude toward the company and governs employee relations.
Exhibits the highest level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions with customers, contractors, suppliers, and all others inside and outside the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Receive requests for work to be completed from Dispatch and respond to request in a prompt and professional manner.
2. Effectively and efficiently diagnose equipment failure problems, make repairs to equipment or determine replacement value, and place it back in proper operation.
3. Maintain supplies and accurate computerized inventory on truck.
4. Responsible for effectively communicating the diagnostic and repair process with the customer, Dispatch, and supervisor as necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
